A person or persons unknown is believed to be responsible for the disappearance and subsequent death of six (6) people in the last month, in the LA district. In each case there has been no sign of a struggle, and the victims (below) are not known to have any enemies. No valuables are missing, and there is no sign of forced entry into residences or places of work. There has been no subsequent contact from the perpertrators(s) or the victims.
Disappeared / Summary
2006 May 25 / Mr Nikos Poulakos He was found in the trunk of his car, in the parking lot at The Santa Monica (Donald Douglas) Airport, on 21 June.
Not available / unknown white male. His naked body was found on July 12 in Lake Santa Fe, part of the Santa Fe flood control basin (N/W of Hollywood, S of Pasadena).
2006 June 16 / Mr Ashiro Katara His body was found on June 19, in the millpond beneath a sluice on the Encino Reservoir (in the San Fernand Valley, 15km N of Santa Monica).
2006 May 30 / Kathy Manasis On June 3 on the bank of the Coyote Creek Coyote Creek (Joins the Santa Anna R just N of Seal Beach).
2006 June 16 / Faberge Jefferson Found on June 20 in a vacant lot, 300m from her apartment.
2006 June 26 / Leonard Pile His car was discovered in South Pasadena on 30 June. The body of Leonard Pile was found on July 2.
Investigation is being conducted by from the West Los Angeles Homicide Squad, lead by Detective Robert Hooper with the support of Detective Coral Mannix. An FBI taskforce reporting to SAIC, Michael Brown has been attached to the investigation to lend technical support under the aegis of the
federal kidnapping statute.
NCIC has released the codeword LASKIN to the investigation of AZ-380-H-2000.
