Hal have been dreaming that he was inside a gigant bell and an army of monkeys was hammering it. 

But when he started to recover the sense he looked at Mallory's face at first but when his eyes adapted he observed behind her a man that looked like the pictures of Napoleon Bonaparte on his history books.

That convinced him that he was still dreaming and closed his eyes again....

Khepri's expression showed his concern when he heard that France wasn't ruling the world but finally he chuckled gently like if someone has told him an old joke.

"Of course France is not ruling the world. 50 Years before my empire it was said that the only thing we were good at was surrender. I changed that, we were feared for a long time, respected, victorious..." He thought for a while with a dreaming smile on his lips "But those interfering asgardians thought that it was not fair using Goa'uld technology to conquer a primitive world like ours. Well, never mind, I'm talking too much and I'll bore you. You aren't here to listen to an old caporal and his war stories..."

He looked at Toren and told him

"My loyal captain, take these prisoners" referring to Latimer and Davis "to the regeneration room. I want them healthy as soon as possible. Then, take them back."

Tollen saluted his God martially, putting his right fist over his heart and bending his head respectfully.

And he left the room dragging the bodies of Latimer and Davis with the help of 3 guards. They were so beaten that they could barely walk by their own.

Khepri looked at you as an old grandpa usually look at his mischievous grandchildren and then he told

"So, We are going to wait for your friends for some time until they'll be totally restored. Unfortunately, my beetle guards are beyond any possibility of being helped despite our medical technology. I'm a practical man, and what it's done it's done but I will feel better if you tell me the purpose of your mission. Who is sending you? What are your objectives? I know that I can use torture to obtain my answers but that is not polite and you are the most exciting thing in this planet in a long time... "

You notice that davis' bruises are less prominent than 5 minutes ago.

Mallory grabbed Lt. Jenkins by the shoulders and yanked him hard. -Come on. Hal?

Mallory tried not to roll her eyes when Napoleon-Khepri asked Jenkins about his authority to make treaties... for the entire planet Earth! Gosh, he barely had the authority to tie his shoelaces.

-This means his authority is more than Sargent Smith's here... But there are at least half a dozen ranks above him.

Mallory sighed. It was pointless to try to deceive one of the most brilliant tactical and military minds in history. She tried to find a different approach. -However, our mission is not a military one. The guys in uniform are here to protect the doctors and the scientists. You are correct about the virus. I am a medical doctor, but my authority in anything related to the virus supersedes that of Lieutenant Jenkins, and any other military persons. I also have direct contact with the leaders of our planet, and I can confirm they are ... VERY interested in finding a solutions to this problem.

She did not want to use the word "desperate", but it was clear what she meant. She smiled nervously waiting for an answer, and giggled a bit. Khepri frowned but finally nodded appreciatively.

"So you can bring here someone to negotiate the treaty in person, but if the virus spreads around your world they won't be anyone to treat with. I will help you, but it won't be for free. Khepri shouted in a strange language and two guards dissapeared through a gate. 3 minutes later they returned carrying a heavy box covered with strange hieroghyphs. It's something similar to an ark and it weights 25 kilos

Khepri looked at you and said

"You're free to go in peace, but if you don't bring me someone to negotiate in twelve hours... Well, It will be rude to talk about torture and painful deads in front of a lady" He said smiling at Mallory. A Smile which didn't touch his eyes...

Mallory Davis looked at the heavy box. OK, this is a job for Keiran, she thought.

-Your Excellence..., she started and then paused. She needed to gather her thoughts first. -Our gratitude for the opportunity to find a solution. However, the leaders of Earth are ... there. But you ... your Highness demands us to bring someone here in twelve hours. In person? Or would it be acceptable to establish some kind of communication with our planet?

She hit Keiran with her elbow and whispered quickly. -Any clue about that box?

Maybe Napoleon had brought it so we can accomplish the mission. It was the most logical option.

-We will do our utmost to find a solution, but your wisdom and technology are far beyond ours, Emperor.

Napoleon's expression changed into a mask of coldness before answering Mallory's request

"If you are able to establish a communication between worlds I'll talk to them but a treaty must be signed to be valid and legal. I'll give you more time if you can provide me with clear evidences of your commitment, and now leave, my guards will lend you horses to get to the gate in time to contact your world"

He dismissed you with an arrogant gesture of his hand.
