CHOOSE A NAME AND A LOOK FOR YOUR CHARACTER
ASSIGN ATTRIBUTES
Assign the following numbers between each attribute: 5+, 4+, 4+, 3+. Low numbers (3+) are better than high ones.
In addition, characters have an assigned number of wounds and special abilities.
CHOOSE A CLASS
Players choose a character class from the following:
WRITE A SHORT HISTORY FOR YOUR CHARACTER
All characters are new members of K.O. SIGHT and need lots of money (tens of thousands at least). Answer this question:
And now, choose up to three more and find answers for them:
All characters start with 1200 bits to buy stuff.
CHOOSE A PROFESSIONAL PAST
Your character's professional past is what he/she has done for most of his life. When you have to make a skill roll and you can justify (in a sensible way) that your professional past could help you with that, you can get +1 to the dice. This bonus can never be applied in a combat roll.
Choose one of the following (or create a new one):
Criminal: from harmless crooks to bank robbers and everything in between. Life is not easy in Glow City and many turn to crime looking for easy money or just survival.
Driver: in taxis, trucks or delivery bikes, the driver has made a life in the endless roads in and around Glow City. They tend to have a very good knowledge of what's going on in the streets.
Engineer: Glow City needs a never ending supply of people working to make it run all the time. Most of the staff of Pineapple Corporation are engineers to some degree but all corps needs them all the time.
Factory Worker: the anonymous cannon fodder that keeps the big machinery running. Bureaucrats and accountants enter in this category as well.
Gang member: the standard occupation in the Hive. Bike riding, fighting and blackmailing are their bread and salt. There are four main gangs in Glow City but new ones gather (and are destroyed!) all the time.
Hikikomori: you haven't gone out much. Most of your life has been in the GLOWNET where you were cooler, happier and safer. Now, for whatever reason, you have to deal with the real world. Good luck with that.
Homeless: the lowest level in society, mostly invisible for many. Good side of this is that your life can only improve now.
Pilot: in planes, helicopters or even space ships, these people have seen the world from above. Advanced mechanics and piloting are essential skills for these jobs.
Police Officer: the fighters in the never ending battle against crime. Used to action and unrewarding work, they have very bad reputation in certain circles.
Prostitute: sex workers of both genders and many different specializations. They tend to be fit and beautiful but their way of life takes a very hard toll.
Rocker: fame does not last in these times. Today's stars are fast forgotten as new ones rise and fall. From band members to stand up comedians, the life in the scenario makes them good crowd drivers.
Soldier: something that never ends is the need of humankind to kill each other. War keeps raging all over the world and those who come back from there are not nice people anymore.
Waiter: from the darkest corners of the Hive to the highest towers of Corp Quarter, someone is behind the bar putting the drinks. Waiters may not be popular but know lots of things and are the contacts of many people.
