The marshal James Guy held his Winchester rifle with both hands and looked around. –Ed Stein! I´ve got a warrant for your arrest… He said again, and looked at the hills around him.
Choctaw had found a good hiding place, and to his right, Copeland was lurking and eager to start firing. But the last of members of the posse had not arrived at the precise spot just yet. Then Ed came out of the cabin, holding his arms wide. He seemed calm. Almost cocky…
The marshal set his eyes on Ed Stein. -Is any of the Lee clan here?, he asked.
Then several things happened simultaneously...

I aim to the chest
Jim Lee´s rifle was the first to fire at the marshal from one of the shooting holes11, but his shot went wide despite his aim. Next to him, Earwin Dyer shot quickly at the posse member just behind the marshal18. The bullet was a hit on the chest and the deputy falls down. This is the same one Choctaw Lee was aiming at.
The next two deputies were Andy and James Roff. Andy was quick to react, and he aimed quickly and shot at Tom "2-Colt" Cole17 who had come running out of the cabin holding two revolvers. The bullet went through his head and Tom Cole stood still for a moment, still holding his two Colts. Then he fell back, dead before he hit the ground.

-AAARGGHHH!!!
Tom Cole´s eyes were blank, and his smile forever wiped out. He fell to the ground, his legs bent below his body in an unnatural manner. He was not going to get up. He was dead.
Tom "2-Colt" Cole had always been a hothead. He had rushed out of the cabin with a shooting iron in each hand. Looking for glory.
Almost at the same time, marshal James Guy tried to shoot down Ed Stein18, who had his own gun out and was going to shoot the marshal21. The marshal hit Ed in his right hip with his heavy Winchester .45 rifle. Ed took the shot with a grin, and did not flinch. But he lost his balance and aim, and could not shoot. He kept aiming at James Guy.
Pink Lee had his shotgun out of the window, and he was aiming to shoot at Krisksey. Before that, Choctaw fired at the deputy from his hideout and missed. The poor bastard was already on the ground after the previous hit, and it did not look good for him. Nearly twenty pellets ripped through his body, lifting him a few inches from the ground. He died instantly.
Della Humpy was not the best shots, but he hit James Roff in the foot22.
Jim Copeland from up the hill with his rifle25, and and Tom Lee outside the cabin with his handgun26 were about to shoot at the marshal James Guy, and Ed Stein was eager to finish him off as well26.
In less than two seconds, there were already two dead bodies on the ground... And the party was just starting.

Tom Lee, the oldest surviving member of the Lee clan, had followed Tom Cole out of the cabin holding his Colt Navy revolver.
The U.S. Marshal James Guy was suddenly facing almost certain death. Directly in front of him, Tom Lee and Ed Stein, the two infamous leaders of the Delaware bandits, were about to gun him down26. And behind him, up on a nearby hill, Jim Copeland was aiming at the marshal with his Spencer rifle and his shot was fired a split second before25.

It was chaos! James Guy, Tom Lee and Ed Stein stood formed a circle and were firing their handguns desperately trying to kill each other, or survive. There was no turning back, no way to hide, no way to run for the three.
Inside the cabin, Saul Dyer was about to fire his shotgun at James Roff, and next to him was Della Humpy with his rifle. The blast from the Remington shotgun hits James Roff, and the pellets destroy his chest. His brother Andy looks in horror the bloody pulp that used to be James.
Then there was a young deputy named Frances Mathes. He was the last one to cross the stream, and as soon as the shooting began, he ran for cover dodging. Pink Lee had just finished Kirksey off, and even though it was a difficult shot, he tried to kill Frances with his shotgun.

James Roff could hardly utter a word as he lied on the ground, and then he was gone.
The fight between Tom, Ed and the marshal ensued. The two outlaws had revolvers, so they were quicker cocking and firing. Tom Lee´s shot hit James Guy on the top of the head, inches away from certain death. Blood was pouring down his face, but he did not go down.
Ed Stein missed his second shot as well. Despite his wound, James Guy managed to shoot at Ed Stein just before Jim Lee got his shot off. The bullet scratches the outlaws neck, inches away from a certain death.
Ed got really lucky there!
Jim Lee was about to shoot at James Guy, but something caught his eye and he got distracted. But half a second later he fires, and hits the lawman directly in the chest, breaking bones and causing some real damage. The marshal goes to the ground and drops his gun!

Gun smoke was surrounding him, but he was desperate to kill as many of the outlaws as possible. He caught Tom Lee in the chest, but he did not fell down. Instead, he started pointing slowly at Andy with his Colt Navy!
From behind Tom, the two Dyer brothers came out of the cabin.

Same target, aim to the chest
James Guy had been shot down, and he had dropped the rifle41. It took him a few moments to clear his head, and the two bullet wounds were causing pain. He could see Ed Stein walking towards him, pointing at him with his Colt Bisley.
Jim Copeland and Pink Lee were going to shoot at James Guy, but could not see him clearly now, and looked for another target. That was Andy Roff.
Andy Roff had seen James Guy go down, and his brother had been killed behind him. He now had Ed Stein and Tom Lee directly in front of him. In addition, the two Dyer brothers came out of the cabin. That was all Andy needed to make up his mind, and he turned around and ran towards the trees looking for protection. There was a canyon to the right of the cabins, and that´s were he was heading. Each step he was closer to Choctaw Lee, who was pointing at him. The canyon was a dead-end.
The fifth deputy had ran for cover, and he was now out of sight to those shooting from inside. Della Humpy shot his rifle in desperation63, and Pink Lee went out the back to try to catch the deputy.

I don't know if I had to roll something, but I roll just in case.
Choctaw crawled back a few feet to get away from the cliff, and then rolled over to his left104. He had dropped his rifle and now he drew the Colt Bisley before approaching the edge. He hoped the deputy would not expect to see him appear from a different position. Choctaw had seen him go down and drop his rifle, but he did not notice if he was injured and how badly.
The outlaw checked the area below him, and saw the youg deputy. He was crawling forward to hide behind a tree. He had a revolver in his hand. The tree gave him some cover towards the cabins, and Jim Copeland. But no protection at all against Choctaw, who now had a clear shot to his back125.
While this was happening, a shot was heard from the other side of the stream. Some outlaws were chasing the other deputy. Choctaw did not have line of sight to the cabin area, and no shots were fired at present.
