Scene updated (I closed the previous one with Hurd). It´s true that the plot made it easy to write Hurd off. One element of the story is that Bronson is a powerful man, but after Harvey´s death, he is faced with some of his trusted men abandoning him. Especially those without any quarrel with the law who are not on Maddox list. At some point, when preparing the plot lines, I felt Crowe would be the obvious choice, especially after Crowe met Mayer and the sheriff in town. So in that way, Hurd abandoning and Vern captured pushes the story forward, and Crowe´s choice to stick around and help Bronson (even though he is not wanted by the law) shows he puts loyalty above everything else. That is, if you decide to ride back to Bronson´s :)

What you can do to help? Write something Crowe could say to Hurd understanding why he needs to run, but not pushing him to stay. Also, someone as nervous as Hurd is at present would not do any good in a gunfight if things were to go bad.

Thank you for the hanging around to see this game to the end.

BTW, if by any chance Hurd´s player returns to the forum with a "real life excuse" for disappearing all of a sudden, it would be fairly simple to write that something Crowe said made him reconsider, turn his horse around and ride back.

The two scenes active:

"When the Dead are Buried" (Crowe): the scene is advancing nicely, almost done here.

"High Stakes" (the rest): the scene is played in the Poker Room and in the main scene, with players hidden in the posts. Not an easy scene to complete, but we are getting there.

The scene "When the Dead are Buried" is finished. The player (Crowe) is on holiday until end of May, so the idea is to push a bit to finish the "High Stakes" scene as soon as possible, and then move to the final scene of the story with all the players present.

The scene "High Stakes" is also finished! I will post a narrative synopsis scene to tie the story together (there is a surprise there I hope you like).

Then I will open the final scene. In the meantime, you can upgrade the characters in Casting.

On Thursday 28th I´ll start my holidays, and I´ll be away till August 14th. I won´t have Internet access, so there will be a pause in the game.

Let´s see if we can advance as much as possible before I go. Ideally, finish the shootout before. But if not, we´ll do it upon my return.

I´m back in the saddle! My idea is to finish the Resolution-scene with a high pace, hopefully that´s OK with everyone.

Also, from now on, if someone aims for the head when shooting, please roll the damage roll twice (1d6 damage would be 2d6). So instead of receiving double damage from a single dice, you roll twice for damage.

Resolution-scene over! So... this is about it, I will do one final scene as an Epilogue. Mainly to let you all know what happened to your characters (some of which are quite badly hurt).

But other than that... we are finished :) So no further News or Updates, I will post a bit more in the Off Topic now.
