The journalist lurked from beneath the table and watched how the three outlaws placed the guns and the bullets on the table. The money was split in half, and Choctaw wanted to take the eight bullets he had used in the gunfight from the stack, but the caliber was .44 and his Bisley used .45. Alacran, on the other hand, was in need of new clothing and he took O´Neills white high crown sombrero, the fancy boots, the red scarf and the leather vest from the cowboy.

On the table, there were Colt Dragoon in a nice quick draw holster, Colt Bisley, 58 bullets and also a small American Arms Derringer with 3 bullets. Choctaw already had a Colt Bisley, one of the better guns in the West. But both Alacran and Jack Dekker relied on the heavier guns, and their revolvers were poorer. Between the Colt Dragoon and Colt Bisley, there wasn´t much difference. Colt Dragoon was probably more intimidating, but the Bisley had better medium range accuracy. The Derringer was a novelty gun, something to hide in your boot.

Notas de juego

Choctaw, for your info you already have a good revolver and a Derringer. Also, you are still carrying the Winchester .44 rifle that you took from Saul Dyer which I need to add to the sheet.

One thing: your current Professional Path of “Outlaw” is coming to an end. But before you start as a “Hired Gun”, the next goal in the “Outlaw” path is to "assemble a gang". To achieve that, all you have to do is to convince 2 or more people to join you (as the leader of the gang). So this could be a good opportunity to roleplay that since basically the three of you are forming a gang...

Jack Dekker

- I will take the Colt.

Jack takes the Derringer and hands it to Rosana - If you are going to ride with us for some days, it will be better if you can defend yourself.

Choctaw Lee*

- I don't want more guns. I have enough.

Choctaw looks the two men and himself.

- We make a good team together, we don't need anyone more to be good. We must stay together and make business. It's complicated to find people to trust. People who don't fire ya in your back.

Jose Alacran looks like Rosanna gets the colt. This fact is very far from the Alacran thought.  There´s something he´s thinking and he cannot decide. Can be seen in his eyes that he doesn´t like that but maybe there is not another way for now. Then he looks at Rosanna:

- Cielo, this is a decision you must take. I cannot decide for us, I know this is a new live and is different from what we dreamed. I´d prefer you don´t take the colt and wait for me in our bonita casa... I could not stand anything happen to you. What do you say, cielo?

[SA] Rosanna

Rosanna thinks for a second, and picks up the small Derringer with surprising ease and raises her long skirt to hide it somewhere, and show off her long and toned leg in the process. It was impossible not to admire her raw beauty...

She catches Choctaw and Jack looking at her legs, and smiles. Since she was a little girl, she has known that in order to survive in the West, a girl had to adapt and become whatever the men wanted her to be.

-Thank you, she whispers to Jack and looks at Jose. –I will follow you, on your side. Always. Ready to go?, she asks with a gentle but firm voice.

Jack takes the Bisley, Jose the Dragoon with the holster, and Rosanna the Derringer, and the four head out of the Cantina without looking back. The next weeks and months they ride together and get to know each other better. It is said that in the frontier, everybody needs to belong to a group, someone to cover their back when the chips are down.

This is how the gang was formed.

They rode to the pueblo at the crossroads, and from got hired for the occasional job, and other times they had to do some robbing to survive. They had to avoid all major towns since there were accusations that Alacran had killed a marshal in San Acoma prior to the shootout in the Cantina. Luckily for them, New Mexico was an untamed land where outlaws and criminals coulde easily hide for long periods. However, the gang had a clear goal in mind: get a job as hired guns or other more reputable work in New Mexico or Arizona. After months of struggling and disappointments, their luck was about to change…
