Hey!

I hereby declare my interest in playing the MD.

At last! A CoC game in which I'll not be the Keeper!

Notas de juego

It has to be said that I have some background in CoC; in fact I was the official translator to Spanish until 5.5th Ed.

But don't you worry, I'll try hard not to metagame.

Welcome, ziordi! I guess good playing and keeping are recognized by keeping player knowledge and character´s knowledge apart.  So, the medic is taken. I´ll get you a thread to get a character together.

Cheers!

Post advertising your game opened!

I haven't decided yet whether to join the game, 'cause I don't like Cthulhu's system (actually, I hate D100! Sorry zjordi :S ). I'll let you know, ok? Anyway, good luck with your project!

Hi everyone... im interested playing this scenario too.

It is a great oportunity to improve my english a bit more, and it comes in a great moment because i expect to take my erasmus experiencie next year. As you can see in this message, my level of english its no Zjordi's level (or others here in the comunity)... so, i will understand if you cannot take me.

I will like toplay the engineer.

PS: Writing this without any help from translators, in the game i will use this tools to improve my posts.

@ Bran Bresal - I grew up with Rune Quest in the mid 80´s. So I guess I´m stuck with d100. I tried d20 with D&D but never made the transition. I do, however, use d20 for certain initiative checks and for stat challenges. That said I´m not 100% d100 ;-)

@ Darofar - Your English is good enough, mate. Who am I to judge? I can´t even spell beer correctly in Spanish. Not a language police...today. Being a newcomer, I can´t reject anyone who wants to play, can I?

As stated in the discussion in the "directors" forum, this will be an opportunity to practise English!

That said, I welcome you to play the Engineering Specialist, Danny.

As for language - good and bad, I think the way to learn is to not use translator robots. They are terrible at syntax and idiomatic expressions. But they are really good at one or two words. Use it for that. Then you´ll learn faster.

By reading - you improve your vocabulary. Playing a role gives you the option to be a man or woman of few words.

Speaking...or rather...writing for myself, I like the opportunity to pick up a handful of words in Spanish. But foremost, this visit is about checking out your forum layouts. I´ll run this little experiment and we´ll see how it goes.

OK, five players added. Three slots to go. (In a pinch they could be NPCs. But I think they´ll be covered) This seems to go smoothly! I´ll set the individual creation threads up tomorrow. Now, it´s time for some shut eye.

A gaming advice - Never trust an NPC who smiles and acts all friendly. That´s a sign you´re deep into you know what!

*Buenas noches*

Actually, I read that in your bio. You may choose the name for your character ;-) The problem with written messages is that intonation is lost.  Alternatively I could have placed your name after the first comma - that would have been better.

Lorelei

Hi guys!
My name is Lorena and I will play the pilot character.
I hope my English will suffice in order to be understood. I ratherly practiced since I left High School but I'll do my best.
Please be patient with me: I am so newbie both in the community as in role games! But I think I learn fast.

Lot of love,
Lorena

Hello!

I'm very interested in this party, though I'm not quite sure of having time enough for another party and a new system. May I please have a VIP pass? Just so you know, a VIP pass is the only way for non-players to watch the whole party as if they were in the game. I'm interested both for reading a good story and for improving a little my English.

I'm sure all of you will create an interesting story (I've only met Zjordi before; Hi zjordi!), and I wish you the best of luck with the party, Syrinx.

Hey, it's quite a crowd already! An interesting mix of old-timers (guilty as charged M'lord) and fresh blood.

OK, guys and gals, you just keep healthy or this MD will have to make a protracted examination of your bodies (up to and including body cavities), which could be nice,... or rather not.

Notas de juego

And, boss, the politically correct term for language police here is "synthax taliban"
(I should know, I did coin the term).

Hello there Hal! Welcome to this side of the web.

I see some of you have got pics up. Great!

@ zjordi - What format codes will work on this site? I´m used to the basics. [img][/img] and

Spoiler (marca el texto para leerlo):

along with colour formats. Another thingy: How do I add theme music? The go-ear player how do I add it? Cut and paste, or what?

I´ll try...

The atmosphere when the docking bay at Valhalla Strike Force base opens...

Yes, and the dice roller can you give me a quick tutorial on how to work it? What if I want to roll 3d6+6 but not +6 on all rolls but just as an addition to the three dice?

Going to check my inbox. Over and out!

Format codes
There are two possibilities: a) the quick and dirty one is to use BBCode (the option by default). Click on "Añadir mensaje" and look below the writing box. Basically you select a word or phrase and click on "B" for boldface, "I" for italics, an so on; b) the FCK editor, for which you look left, below your photograph on the sidebar. There is a boxed "Edición del texo" with which you can switch between BBCode and FCK editor, which is more similar to MsWord. Both work.

For Goear you copy the numbers just after the "V" on the song page, go to the intended message, click on "EAR" and paste the code in the popup window. Ditto for YouTube.

Odd, I looked for a V but found a b963a61 ! Well it worked anyway. Thanks with the tags.

Spoiler (marca el texto para leerlo):

Really no need for this when I can hide threads. It might be good if the player characters get divided in a scene...

Aw, shucks! "V" is YouTube, in GoEar is simply the code.

No problem. I just had to try some to get there.
