Jack makes his horse run after Alacran's, looking also behind them so nobody follows them.

- He`s drunk as hell

Choctaw goes after Jack

- Piece of cake - he mutters and smiles.

It was Choctaw who reached Alacran and grabbed the reins of his horse, while Jack followed a bit further behind. He had checked that there was no one following them. They were alone, and out of sight.

Alacran was quite drunk, and it took a few moments before he recognized Jack and Choctaw.

-Fucking mex, stop now! - Choctaw is a little annoyed

- We need to talk. Our boss thinks that you have been  in silence for too much time.

Alacran stop his horse.

Our boss?  Weren`t you the head of our band?  What has happened?  Yo jugándome el pellejo between the fucking mex while you are worshiping a rich man . I've been closer than  you believed , I was always close to Rosanna , and she is no so close to me. But that I'll see in due time.

The mex eyes are full of hate, when he name´s Rosanna.

The Mexicans will already prepared to take by force, like they said “what is theirs”. They´re waiting for me tomorrow in the old fort, and I think after tomorrow they will attack.

We  don't have too much time.

Come on friends, where´s the Tequila?

- There is a full bottle of good whisky waiting for us on the hacienda if we finish the job. - smiles Jack, then he becomes more serious - Perhaps you have listen also about a new Lawman that is on the town waiting for arrest us for the fun we had on Sabbath. The old man is trying to make him to forget about that but, if he can't, we would need a little of your help.

- But first the cattle thieves problem. How many are they? If they aren't too many perhaps you can allow us to enter in the night to take care of them, in other case we can prepare an ambush when they leave the fort.

mmm maybe twenty or twenty-five , it's easy ...

Alacran pauses while watching his friends.

Don´t look at me afraid! Tenemos cojones.

Alacran touches his balls while smiling.

I was joking amigos. Let me think, they are hermanos Romero Rico and Enrique. Hector, Salvador and also ...  Five, they are five.

Old fort is in ruins, I saw it from afar. It would be easy to rob.

Better go there and kick el sucio culo de those fucking mohados by surprise...

Alacran smiles remembering the last time he heard that word. That was a great day...

Then we take care of the "new Lawman" who seeks us, and then I´ll come back to kill Rosanna´s new toy...

Choctaw gets serious.
- I'm your boss, the old man is MY boss, for now. We are only three men and a woman. And we have no money. We don't know this lands. We stay with the cattle baron for now. Waiting for our opportunity. Then we take the chance and disappear. This is a good job, we can kill people and Bronson keeps us out of jail. That's like Christmas. It's good for now, like holidays. Listen to me, first, we take this mex cattle thieves and make them disappear, less competence to us. After that we handle your problem with Rosanna's toyboy. And finally the lawman, if Bronson  fails. 

Choctaw looks to Jack.
-What do ya think? Do we can handle five mexicans? 

He returns with Alacran:
- Are there some guards in the mex camp? or everybody is sleeping?

Alacran looks at Choctaw eyes.

They are mex , and think that tomorrow is the big day. Tonight they will be drinking, I think there aren´t guards in the camp, but we should approach with care.

Another thing , I have no boss , never forget it Choctaw.

Alacran stretches

Today I am very angry, and I can only think on drinking or killing mex. Where do we start?

- I don't care if ya have a boss or not, if you betray me, I kill you. Meanwhile we can work together. ... Ok let's go to kill that bastards. Jack, is your rifle ok?

He is allways ready- said Jack taking off his rifle in a flash and shooting a coyote that showed behind a bush.

- Fucking coyote!!!! - shouts when he fails his shoot. Now he is in a mood worst than Alacran.

The was tension amongst the outlaws. But the three men were ready to hunt and kill the Mexican cattle thieves. This was their chance to finish off the Romero brothers before they got more organized. To end the uprising before it got started. After that, they each had their scores to settle. But first, they wanted to spill some Mexican blood at the Old Fort.

The Old Fort was a long ride away, southwest from Casa Rodrigo and over a small stream. There were no farms nearby, and the only path leading there had not been used for many years.

In the past, it had been a military outpost to control the Sioux Indians .But after the Indian wars had ended, and the redskins had been taken to their reservation, the fort had been abandoned. Alacran had explained there were only a few ruins left, but these gave some protection. However, it wasn´t going to be easy to approach the place without being seen, especially if the Mexicans were on the lookout.

The plan was simple. The Romeros were expecting Alacran. They were gathering men to form the core of their armed gang. They would be happy to see Alacran arrive, and maybe there would be some celebrating. If Alacran went in alone to talk to Rico and Enrique Romero, and the others, and he could keep them busy and distract them, maybe Jack and Choctaw could sneak into the nearby ruins and get into a good position for a surprise attack.

When they are close to their destiny, Choctaw stops takes a cigarr and talks.

- We need to distract the guards. Maybe a good fist fight, or some whiskey, o both. You must go there and make a distraction for us. .... The other option I see is simulate that Alacran keeps us as prisoners and when we are close enough shoot them all as fast as we could. Jack what do ya think?

He is smiling all the time but he's very serious.

- Those mex don't take prisioners, they just kill you and leave you on the dessert. I am sure Alacran could find a way to distract them while we aproach on the sundown.

- I'm sure of that, meanwhile we can approach to them, hidden on the shadows. And when we are close enough, we start to shoot everyone.  Alacran, what do you say?

-Vamos! Let´s do it then, Alacran said. -I will ride to Old Fort, and keep the Romero busy. I have something here to create a ... distraction, he said and pulled out a nice Mexican guitar from a large saddle bag.

-I go in, I party with them, maybe I drink too, a little. And you can sneak closer in the shadows. Then I play the guitar, when the song ends you can start firing. I will have my guns ready also.

He got on his horse, and added: -If things don´t go as planned, and you hear shooting bang! bang! and not me playing the guitar, you come and help to shoot them all to hell, OK?

They rode south, and crossed the river and Alacran put his head into the water to sober up. It was important to be in full capacity for the plan to work out. They checked their weapons, and continued towards the fort. Dekker and Choctaw left their horses a bit further back, and they split so Alacran would ride into the Fort on his own.

From their hiding place, Dekker and Choctaw could see Alacran riding in. The fort had seven ruins, and it was hard to know exactly where the Romeros where hiding. They could see horses on the larger construction on the left, and some movement further back in the L-shaped building. Several fires were lit in different places, and there was some laughter and noises.

The two could reach the first buildings in a few minutes, so once Alacran started playing, they could make their move.

Jack takes his rifle with him and talks to Choctaw - Best if we go together, go first so I can cover you with my rifle if we are noticed.

Choctaw has his gun ready to fire and tries to heard if Alacran is doing right his part of the plan.

-Yeah,  ya're right Jack, as usual.
