Good morning.

First of all, thanks to Mooneyes for this oportunity to speak/write English here in Umbria.

I’m on holidays and it’s a bit difficult for me to write through my phone, but I’ll try!! That is the reason because I haven’t write before but, this morning, I said to myself “let’s go!!”

I have read you are speaking about learning German. Ok, I think German is a very useful language if you want to work in Germany but no more else. I think Chinese or Arabic languages are more interesting nowdays. If I had time, I will learn Chinese. But now I have no time to that new task!  (but…. Who knows in the future!!!!!)

Every year I began Lesson 1. Never past to lesson 2. ALL those years, I was listening the same lesson.

Yeah, I think it would happen to me too XDXDXDXDXD

Facts about German: [...]

Owww, leonid, thank you very mucho for your explanation *.* I love grammar, but I don't think if I could face German grammar XDXDXDXD And I love Latin *¬* But, also, Latin is very cool, and German seems to me very, very difficult XDXDDXDXD But, I guess it is a question to foqus and study XDXDXDXD But I love this:

The longest "natural" German word is Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz (law delegating beef label monitoring). You won´t see it much, because said law was rendered obsolete by the new food laws of the EU in 2013.

Super cool XDXDXDXDXD And, over that, I love this:

- German is good for understanding Rammstein songs.

I will learn German only for this *.* XDXDXDXDXD

"I speak Spanish to God, Italian to Women, French to Men, and German to my Horse"

I will speak to my horse Rammstein songs *.*

First of all, thanks to Mooneyes for this oportunity to speak/write English here in Umbria.

Uy, no ^^ Thanks to everybody here ^^ People here are helping a lot, and it is very cool :DDD Me... Only I am not patience XXDXDXDXDXD That's all XDXDXDXDXD

ERTYWERT

Achtung, achtung...

It's my very close knoledge from this lenguage. It's from WWII film. But... This is a english place, isn't it?

An office matte would learn rusky, but ... he's coming brave to try it. Our job pay, witn money and working time that a year lessons, and, if he pass his exams, it send him four years posted in a russian city, as Moscow or St. Petersburg.

Teachers actually like to use them in classrooms, because Rammstein has a tendency to use plays on words, slang and fuzzy meanings to create confusing lyrics. For example, one of his famous songs, the song "Du hast". When pronounced, it can sound as "Du hast" (you have) or "Du hasst" (You hate). The difference in pronunciation is minimal, but the difference in meaning is vast. It´s not the only case where it happens- I seem to remember someone compiled all those "treacherous" lyrics somewhere.

I'm not sure if there are people interested, or if it would be too much work for the Masters, but what about creating some sort of "lecture club" section, where people could share short texts (like articles, poems, wiki articles...), videos (TED talks, songs...) and other material in English. Maybe working with them and helping each other understand the meaning and how to translate those texts could be interesting for some people.

Yeah :DDD It could be very useful :DDDD I open the scene, and you guys can upload whatever you want ^^ Unfortunately, I can't upload videos or songs, because I don't have internet at my home, and I am always at the library, so videos are soooo slow that I want to kill myself >.< XDXDXD

But, it's a great idea ^^

Ok, two new scenes :DDD

This one is for "Lecture Club" ^^ You can upload whatever you want: songs, videos, articles... In English, of course! :DD We can improve our reading skills and, also, listening skills :DDD

And, this one is for questions ^^ Grammar, vocabulary... Things that we don't understand, we can write them and ask for help ^^

Just one thing: upload instead of unload please XD

Unload is for the physical activity of moving and taking out goods/things from a place, like "unload the truck"

^^

Hi guys. I said it on the "Lecture Club" section (go read that so I don't repeat myself xD) but maybe that name is not accurate. Any ideas for renaming it?

Besides that section (where we will share short texts, songs, and whatnot, as we started doing already), what do you guys think of having a specific section (Reading Club, this time for sure) where users give recommendations of books we have read in English? (Let's keep it to books that we have personally read in English and we think they would be good practice or simply good books. If you have read it in Spanish it's not applicable :P)

I think we can give that recommendations on the Reading Club (aka Lecture Club), it's just about the same. Reading things. One day I will tell you about "Sherlock Holmes. The Complete Stories", more than 1400 pages written by Conan Doyle. As said in Andalucía: "casi ná"
