Choctaw Lee*

Holy crap, fucking wind! Choctaw thought when his shot impacted the wall.

Now this duel became a deadly one, if he fails again, probably the crazy man should be facing a bullet on his head.
But Choctaw will not surrender without giving fight. He holds firmly his weapon and aim to Rico's chest.

That Mex made me waste a bullet, I'm gonna make him suffer, he's goin' to feel pain. I will enjoy killing you bastardo. Choctaw said with a dark expression on his face.

I bring to Aim and Fire Deliberately to Rico's chest.

[Mx] Enrique Romero*

-RICO! It´s a damn ambush!, Enrique yells at the main ruins when he sees the shot fired by Choctaw. -Vamos, Alacran! You with me, OK? We go around to the back and we kill that gringo!

He turns around to look at Alacran... And he looks straight into the inside of a shot gun barrel.

-Wha..???!

Alacran smiles, and pulls the trigger. "Rosanna" hails deadly pellets that send Enrique flying backwards.

BOOOOM!!!

All twelve pellets of the barrel hit, and one of them actually pierces the heart of Enrique Romero. He is dead before hitting the ground.

Alacran: fire deliberately +4, visibility +0, accuracy +4, distance +8, roll 13. Perfect hit. Nice shot! Penetration damage applies, so each 4 is repeated. One pellet I repeated 6 times (!) so that alone is 20+ damage. The guy is very dead. You have Hector close by, and Rico Romero pointing at Choctaw. It would take 14 counts to prepare the second barrel, and 4 to aim and 4 to fire deliberately again.

Choctaw: please roll 1d20, you fire just before Romero. Good luck :)

Jack: keep calm, the rifles take a bit longer to reload and you are aiming carefully. I will post your shot after the other actions resolved.

Hector changes facing (1), then shoots from the hip (6) without aiming. He will fire on Count 44.

Choctaw fires quickly to make his shot before Rico blasts away with the Colt Thunderer. But he messes up with the gun and fails miserably. Only a split second after, "Tormenta" fires away.

BANG!

And he misses! The shot flies just past Choctaw´s right shoulder.

Rico curses the darkness, and tries to see better where Choctaw is exactly inside the ruined building.

Rico Romero (RR) has a Colt .41 Lightning, also called the "Thunderer". Acc +1, Distance +4, Fire deliberately +2, visibility -3 (the light from the fire does not go through walls, so Choctaw is in the dark). Total +4. He aims for the chest. Roll 13+4=17.

Choctaw: the mishap had no affect (the result was a "broken saddle bag" but you don´t carry one now). Please specify action.

Choctaw Lee*

Rico was coming closer and closer, leaving Choctaw only two options: Stay where he was and fight until the end or run away looking to save his ass. For a normal man it would be more wise to hide or run away... but not for him, not for this crazy brave bastard.

Choctaw aim his gun once again and prepares to shoot. This was going to be probably his last chance to kill that mex, otherwise he would die. But that doesn't matters to him, he was prepared to stand tall until the end.

Notas de juego

If I have the opportunity to shoot first i'll do it.

Jose "Alacran" Luciano*

There´s no time for thinking, Alacran only can do the best he can do. A long time ago that he should have died, but fate has wanted to give more time. Maybe today he can also return to defy death, maybe he is the death…

Alacran smiles at Hector and with very fast movement throws him Rosana to mislead and gain a few precious seconds. Then with one hand he grabs the Hector´s rifle barrel to deflect his shot while the other pulls his Colt and puts his barrel on Hector´s chest.

Escucha pendejo tell Enrique I did not like his whiskey.

Notas de juego

I hope not to be the one who drink whiskey with Enrique ...

Alacran turns to face Hector and without hesitation throws his beloved shot gun at the bandit40 who was preparing to shoot him! He realizes he needed to do something to stop the Mex, and the gun hits him in the chest causing enough confusion for Alacran to have a chance to grab the Carbine rifle!

The outlaw's hand is quicker than the eye when he grabs the barrel of the Carbine42. However, Hector is stronger and holds on to the gun. The two men look at each other, breathing heavily, their faces only inches away from each other. And then, they both take a step back and go for their guns!!

The adrenaline made Hector draw quicker than he had ever done in his life... But was it going to be enough?

...41,42...

OK, let´s see if I get this right :)

Throw shot gun > grab Hector´s rifle > draw Colt > shoot

Alacran (DEX 17 STR 10): You fired on Count 37. You turn (1), then you throw the shotgun at Hector (2 Counts). You do not have Primitive Ranged Weapon skill, but I roll DEX for you. Then hit (chest), he is 5 feet away so +8 and you have +4 Acc. You won´t cause damage, but if you hit Hector needs to roll Flinching or loose concentration. And he fails!! So he looses 5 counts of action. He was going to fire on Count 44, now it is count 49 the earliest.

Next, Alacran tries to grab the rifle (2). This is a STR attack to get hold of the gun, and if successful you can do a DEX attack to get the gun away from him. Hector STR is 9. Alacran 10. Hector is stronger, but as Alacran is too close now for him to shoot with a long gun, he lets go of the rifle and goes for his gun!

I think this would be a good time to roll another initiative roll. It´s a deadly gun draw as you are only 5 feet away from each other. Hector will go for a quick hipshooting. So Alacran, please draw 1d10+3. Hector rolled perfect 1, if you roll lower than the total of 7, please roll 1d20 and damage. If not, he´ll shoot first.

Things were happening on the other side of the ruins from Dekker´s position. He heard shots and screaming while he was aiming at the bandit. From the corner of his eye, he saw Salvador get up and prepare to run. But the hunter had his eyes set on Claudio. He was about to fire ...

Inside the ruin, Choctaw was facing Rico. This was it. The moment of truth. Rico had missed, and now Choctaw had a split second advantage. Choctaw was not going to be lucky twice in the row, so he needed to get this shot right.

Notas de juego

...43...

Choctaw: you are 1 count ahead of Rico, and you will both fire as quickly as possible. You can fire normally on Count 44 (Rico on 45), or there is another option: fanfiring. This is a technique Choctaw has used in the past. Basically instead of pulling back the hammer with your thumb, you use the palm of the other hand to pull it back. This gives you a -1 speed advantage, so you would fire on Count 43 and you could keep firing quickly, but with a -3 accuracy modifier (normally -6 but Choctaw has a special talent for this). Please confirm and roll 1d20 and damage.

Choctaw Lee*

It seems that it was not his day to die, the bullet passed really near from his arm but Rico failed. Choctaw time on earth has not ended yet.
He now was on a situation of kill or die, so this shot was his last chance to win this fight. His Colt Bisley never failed him before and this was not going to be the exception, so he aim to Rico's chest and... BOOM!

The bullet comes out of his pistol, probably that bullet would be the most important in his life.

Choctaw fires quickly as Rico enters the ruin, and this time he hits! Rico screams in pain as the bullet is lodged into his abdomen. His back is against the wall, and he slowly falls done into a sitting position dropping his gun to the ground.

Somewhere behind the chaos of the main ruins, Jack Dekker has two targets in his arc of sight.

He can see Salvador running towards the other end of the ruins, and in front he has his target. Claudio. The poor Mexican is running like crazy to get to the ruins, but Dekker knows he will not miss this shot.

BANG!

And the bullet hits Claudio´s lower back!

The powerful shot from the .40 caliber Winchester sends Claudio to the ground, and he does not move. Dekker ain't sure if the hit had killed the bandito, probably not. But at least he is out of the fight now.

Choctaw Lee*

When the bullet impacted the bandito in scream of pain came out of Rico's mouth. Finally Choctaw had won the fight, and the history of gun fights won by him continued growing up. It seems that the rumors of he being invincible had quite of truth on them.

JAJA! Ya' piece of mexican shit. Do you really thought that you could beat me? Now you'll die knowing how stupid ya're. Choctaw said to his fallen rival, while he begins to walk towards him to give that bandito a ride to meet his ancestors.

The plan was succeeding, there were only a few Mex remaining and a lot of bullets ready to take them down.

As Choctaw moves closer to finish Rico, he can see through the doorway how Alacran and Hector are fighting over the rifle, and then drop it and then they both go for their guns!

The situation looks as if Hector has the advantage over Alacran.

Notas de juego

Choctaw => the distance to Hector is roughly 25 feet. You can try to shoot at Hector without aiming to help Alacran, but you would not have time to aim at all. Or you can finish off Rico. Please confirm and roll 1d20 specifying the target and location.

Remember, a shot to the head is double the damage (if you shoot Rico it´s hard to miss).

Hmm, this one is finished, and my Colt is still hungry of more blood. Lets kill another Mex

Sorry but you are gonna need to wait. He said to Rico while he shot his pistol looking to impact Hector on the head.

-KNNNGGHH!! Maldito!, Rico muttered as his back hit the wall and he began falling down. His head was spinning and he noticed a taste of metal in his mouth.

-So this is what it feels like...

-I´ll see you in hell, he said looking defiantly into the eyes of the half-Indian outlaw. Choctaw looked to him like a blond ghost. An angel of death.

Rico was certain the time had come for him to leave this Earth when he looked at the barrel of the Colt Bisley. But then Choctaw walked passed him and raised his gun to fire at someone else.

Hector was lighting quick getting his gun out56 and went for a hip shot. His life depended on getting a shot fired before the traitor Alacran. Still, Alacran was quicker. The two were so close each shot could be the last one. Alacran's Colt Dragoon spat fire first59 but his hipshot was way off.

For a split second, Alacran saw his life pass before his eyes. And he thought of Rosanna. Hector had his gun out, but then he saw a flash from inside the ruins. BANG! Choctaw fired quickly at Hector61.

Hector felt the bullet fly pass, and fired his gun without aiming. He also missed Alacran!
