"It took guns to get this land, guns to keep it, guns to make things grow. The guns that pride called out...and each time, we buried the cost" - Vincent Bronson

[Mx] Salvador*

Salvador was not happy that night. No way. He had been ordered to guard the hole up area, and there he was next to sleeping bags and clothes and saddles, while the others were drinking and celebrating. Even Alacran had come to join the Romero gang. Tonight, the great plan for vengeance would be revealed. The Bronson clan would eat dirt soon!

But Salvador could only listen... He held his old Civil War rifle, and cursed in Spanish to all the saints he could remember. Alacran had started playing a song...

And then it started...

Notas de juego

COUNT UP: 1,2...

Choctaw: you are about 25 feet away from Salvador, to his left. He has not seen you yet. You can bring your gun to aim, or move even closer.

Alacran: you are in a different area, holding the guitar in your hand. Please roll 1d10 for initiative and describe action.

Jack Dekker (JD): Speed = 1; the distance to Salvador (S) is roughly 60 feet. Remember you have "Dead Eye" talent, so the negative modifier is reduced one distance group. Reload 10 Counts, Careful aim 20 Counts you would shoot on Count 31, or if you wish to fire quickly, on Count 18.

Choctaw Lee (CL): speed 4, you are moving to flank the banditos, I guess you prefer to get to their back. You have 25 feet to move, and you will reach the corner of the ruin on Count 19. You are holding your gun. You can roll Dexterity to get into the ruins jumping through the window hole or the door, or roll sneaking to get around the building.

Jose Alacran (JA): you start acting on Count 7 (initiative 5 + 2 speed). You are still holding your guitar on Count 7. To draw your Colt Dragoon is 6 Counts, or your shotgun 16.

Initiative for the Mex: S(9)-C(17)-RR(10)-ER(7)-H(7)

Enrique Romero (ER): draw rifle 10 (+4 for Musket)

NOTE: We´ll try to do this scene posting to all participants, even though the action might be taking place in different parts. Try to react to what your character sees and hears, not to what you as a player know :)

-Maldito!! Shot!!, Enrique yelled and grabbed his Winchester 1863 Musket that he always carried with him. It was only .32 caliber, but he had survived many gunfights with it, and he was not going to change. -Vamos! Get up bastardos!, he ordered to his men and tried to look around in the darkness.

Choctaw lurks his prey, he moves precisely towards the ruins, and when he is there, he jumps inside the ruins to surprise de banditos from the back. They would never expect an attack like that, because only a brave-crazy man like Choctaw would do such a thing.
When he is in position, and still cover by the protection that the ruins provides him, he begins to steady aim his target, Choctaw did not have rush, his first shot must be lethal so he takes his time and when is ready. BANG! Then he starts to do what was typical of him... Shooting like a crazy to create confusion and panic in the Mex. BANG, BANG!!

Choctaw: hold on to your horses!! :) We stop your action just after you jumped inside the ruins, we have to go one action at a time. Before you shoot, I need to tell you what you see and where the enemies are, you declare the target, if you aim, etc.

For now, you have jumped inside the ruin on Count 24. We ignore the rest of the rolls.

Let´s see what the others do and when we get close to Count 24 you declare your next action.

Salvador moves a few steps and looks around in the darkness as he grabs his Carbine. Jack has reloaded and aims quickly at the Mexican19, shooting his second shot of the night. In addition to some cover, the ruins of the building give a place to rest his Winchester. And he hits Salvador on his right shoulder!

Salvador falls prone to the ground and drops his weapon. He doesn´t flinch, and he stays on the ground and goes for his Colt Navy while trying to lay low to offer a small target to whoever is shooting.

Just as Jack makes his shot, Choctaw reaches the ruin19 and jumps through the window to get into position24. He can see Alacran, Enrique and Hector through the windows in the darkness, but they haven´t seen him yet.

On the other side, Alacran drops the guitar and takes out his shotgun25. He is standing close to Enrique Romero, and he can see Rico Romero drawing out a Colt .41 Lighting, or "Tormenta" as he likes to call it15. Rico moves closer to the far corner, from where he can see Salvador.

Jack: distance just under 50 feet now, normally +1 but with Dead Eye you get +2. Second shot same target +1. Accuracy 3. Visibility -1. Aim (Fire Deliberately) +4. Resting weapon on the ruin (+2). Second shot within 2 seconds -1. Total +9, roll 9 = 18. Hit left shoulder. 5 HP. 1/2 STR vs PRO; STR-1 DEX-1. He fails STR check and falls prone. Flinching success.

Choctaw: your jump finishes on count 24. You can see two Mexicans, Enrique Romero and Hector, and just behind Enrique there is Alacran taking out his shot gun. You can fanfire or bring the gun to aim. Distance is about 15 feet. As it is, the windows offer limited vision to the targets, if you move a few steps closer and start firing, you´ll have a better arch (and you´ll be within 10 feet).

Alacran: bring to aim (4) and Fire deliberately (8), you shoot on count 37. Please roll 1d20.

Jack cocks his rifle and prepares to aim at a target29. While he prepares his rifle, he can see Salvador on the ground, and also another Mexican between the two ruins. He is about to run to the left from Jack´s position, towards Salvador and those ruins.

Alacran is just behind Enrique Romero and Hector. Enrique has his rifle out21, and he moves forward with Hector. Behind them, with a swift move, Alacran brings out his Rosanna shotgun25, and soon enough he will fire.

From inside the ruins, Choctaw can see Rico Romero through an old door hole.

Choctaw brings his gun to aim, and steadies with the other hand. He has a good view of Rico Romero, only partially covered by the wall. This is his chance to finish one of the leaders off!

Notas de juego

...26,27,28,29...

Choctaw: you steady aim (+2 Acc) and fire deliberately on Count 30. Please roll 1d20 and damage, but also specify if you aim for the head or chest. Note that part of Rico Romero is covered by the wall.

Alacran: your shot will be fired on count 37, aiming for the chest/back

Jack: you cock rifle on Count 29, you can see both Salvador on the ground and the other Mexican (Claudio) who starts to run, Careful Aim is another 20 counts before you fire. For now I suppose you follow Claudio with the rifle.

BANG!!

Choctaw´s shot echoes in the night from inside the ruin. But the hired gun misses, hitting the stone wall to his left instead of his target.

Rico Romero quickly turns around to face Choctaw. His Colt Thunderer is ready for action, and he brings it up to aim at half bred36.

On the other side, Jack Dekker looks at Claudio through the sight of the rifle, and concentrates. The Mexican moves behind the ruins, and Jack looses sight of him for a second and then he sees him again. In the meantime, Salvador shoots from the ground. It is a desperate shot into the dark35 and it does not affect the marksman´s concentration.

Salvador (S): almost impossible shot, distance -6, visibility -3, Acc 1... Miss. 5 HP. STR-1 DEX-1

Rico Romero (RR): he reacts on Count 30, turns around (change facing x 2 = 2) and brings gun to aim (4). He will fire deliberately (4) at Choctaw on Count 40.

Choctaw: Accuracy bonus +2, signature weapon +1, steady aim +2, fire deliberately +2, visibility +0, distance +4. Total +11, roll 3 = 14 MISS. Now to cock and fire your weapon a second time is 5 Counts. This is without aiming. To aim: fire deliberately is 4 counts, Fire Delib+Steady is 6, Careful Aim 10 and Careful Aim + Steady 12. So if you Bring to Aim and Fire Deliberately you get to fire a split second before Romero shoots at you. Please confirm and also if you aim for the head or the chest. There are quicker options like fanfire or hipshooting, but the chances to hit are less.
