OK thanks for letting me know rurilu. I´m having difficult time posting nowadays because of work load, and I won´t be able to update scenes till the weekend I think.

Business in Town (Crowe, Mayer, Hurd) => I should be able to update tomorrow

Gotta admit I'm a little bit lost right now. Just don't know what to do, where to go. Aside from casual encounters with Maddox, there's just no reason for my to be wandering around town, I guess. Should I be at the saloon working?

OK, I can understand. This scene can be a bit confusing. I did not want to do half a dozen small scenes so I put them all in one to save time and avoid too much dialogue. The aim is to introduce some secondary characters and also define the situation in Sabbath quickly. The locals are not happy to see Maddox. Most are afraid. A few are angry. Now, Mayer has a few options. He can stay away from harm´s way. Carry on business as usual. Or he can get involved or to find more. He knows Madddox, and he knows Ryan. The locals seem to trust him. For now he has a chance to find a bit more. In the saloon, a woman from Maddox´s past walked in to talk to Lucas.

The concept was to create a single scene where bit of information is given to the players and the story starts to unfold.

I did not expect Mayer to leave the saloon to be honest, but you are free to do that. You can go to visit Ryan, or follow Maddox, or go back to saloon to get back to work and maybe find out what the mysterious woman has to say.

I'll be totally out from Aug 5th to Aug 14th. I've gotta trip abroad and will have no internet access at all.

OK thanks for letting me know Rob, I will only have 1 week holiday (starting Aug 24th) so I can probably keep up a decent pace all through August.

Next week I´m on holiday. From Saturday 22nd till Wednesday 26th I will not have Internet connection to post, I might be able to read on my cell phone not sure. Anyways, I will do my best to have the scenes with updates before I leave and then catch up when I get back.

Recently I received confirmation from sergut. Sinta ain´t coming back, the player is cutting down all Umbria games for time being due to personal issues.

Just wanted to let you know, it is a shame as Sinta is a great character with an interesting background, but I will not try to find a replacement at this stage of the story.

WTF!? I got a PM saying rurilu (=Choctaw Lee) has left Umbria and cancelled the account. A shame, he was a regular poster and seemed to be enjoying the game.

It´s not easy to find replacements for an English language Wild West game, and especially with the story getting close to the last third now... I´ll give it a go, and if not I will have to NPC the character.

Have you talked to him? I received a similar message some time ago, from the goblin messenger (you know, those written automaticaly by the server) saying that one of my players had cancelled his account (guess it's the same message you have received), but then I received a PM from him saying it must had been some kind of error, that it happened to all his DMs and that he was still here.

It was the same situation, he was a regular player and seemed like he was enjoying, so I thought it was weird for him to leave like that, without even say anything. Luckily, it was just a false alarm, some sort of mistake in the server.

Yeah, I thought about that, but the account had indeed disappeared. And then I saw confirmation:

On the positive side I got a replacement player who seemed interested and he is reading through the previous scenes at the moment. We´ll see. And the scene with Hurd, Mayer and Crowe is not affected, we can move ahead.

The scene with Choctaw, Dekker and Alacran will be delayed a bit, but Alacran has informed of difficulties posting this week anyway. So Dekker just a bit of patience there :)

Also the scene with Trinity is picking up nicely, he might get to Sabbath in time...

Sad to hear he's leaving, glad to hear someone else is interested in taking his role :)

Anyway, if you've been in Umbria for some time, you know this kind of thing is happening everyday. But that's another of the responsabilities you take as a DM around here, to keep up with everyone, having fun and developing a great storyline and characters, even through these dificulties.

Lucas downed the whiskey and looked at each men around him. –We ought top lay this hand right. Crowe, you say Bronson wants to talk. That´s good. Mayer, you might have your work cut out here in town. The store keeper Luther Harris has been stirring up trouble ever since Marc Corman´s death. And I don´t reckon the sheriff Cotton Ryan can handle this. And you go with Crowe.

Sorry, but I don't get Lucas' message. Is he telling me to go with Crowe somewhere?

Oops it's a typo (or copy paste error). I meant to write that Mayer should help to deal with Harris and the people in town, and then maybe go with Crowe to see Maddox. Lucas was thinking aloud, it's not an order more like a suggestion. But he seems to think its a good idea to get involved...

Until Sep 28th I will have to slow down the pace a bit since I have to prepare for an exam after work. In case you notice some scenes moving ahead slower than usual.
